8.8 Magnitude Earthquake in Chile!

2/27/2010

This morning around 3:40 a.m. there was a massive 8.5 earthquake in Concepción, Chile. We are still struggling to contact our missionaries there and will update as soon as we make contact with them. Please pray for the Shane Hayes family and the Daniel Barkley family.

According to "official" data from the Chilean government, at 9:00 a.m. today there are 82 confirmed deaths. There appears to be much destruction with many buildings and highway overpasses having collapsed. We will continue to monitor this situation and CSI stands ready to assist in any way that we can.
