Director Scotty Slaydon sslaydon@upci.org In a recent development in Compassions Services International (CSI), a new director has been appointed. The former director, Rev. G.R. Travis, stepped down to accept other ministry responsibilities. This opened the door for the appointment of Scotty Slaydon, former missionary to El Salvador, to be appointed as head of this growing outreach. The Foreign Missions Board of the UPCI selected this active member of the CSI steering committee based on his administrative abilities and his hands on experience in assisting in several disasters in Central America and other areas of the world. As an executive assistant to the Foreign Missions general director, this true Christian will move forward in the implementation of the humanitarian services of CSI. CSI stands ready to assist with water, food and shelter in time of disaster; with clinics, volunteer doctors and nurses to provide medical care; and many other areas to bring compassion to the world. Jones, MD is Medical Director of Acute Disease Programs for the Marion County Health Department, Indianapolis, IN.
